That Authority along with Eric and Bill having drank from the vile containing Lilith’s blood which gives them a high, which causes a lot of the so called ‘mainstreamers’ to which sides at the first taste of real blood. Eric not only seeing the vision of Lilith is also visited with words of wisdom from Godric. Sookie tries to get rid of her faerie power, feeling bad for her parents’ death and wanting to be normal for once but that is changed when it might be the only key to finding what happened. Luna shape sh ifts into Sam so she can get down to the hunters’ killings herself in an unexpected way which freaks her out. The Hunters kidnap Jessica to help Hoyt heal his wounds and welcome him into the group. Alcide finally goes up against JD for title of pack master. This episode was actually directed by Stephen Moyer and for his first time directing, it turned out to be a seamless and well directed episode which must have been hard not only to direct a cast of friends but one’s self too.

When I picked up this book over a week ago I didn’t really didn’t know what to expect since never knew it was part of a series. Even without having the pleasure to read the other ones wasn’t lost completely since there didn’t seem to be much inside information that wasn’t explained or inside jokes. What did confuse me was how Christian being gay was some how the best option they had to get them closer together, dying or a terminal illness wasn’t an option for an immortal. Someone needs to teach Gia better white-lies. Yes, I know an immortal just can’t explain to a mortal about ‘vampires’ or ‘immortals’ let alone ‘you are my life-mate, you are mine’ because well any normal girl (myself not included) would probably run for the hills but isn’t that the average reaction but they usually somehow manage their way back to his arms. Anyway I digress, even with the gay angle it was very humorous at points. The Captain Jack points killed me a bit because of all the tension and sometimes naivety on Carolyn’s part about feelings and emotions. And even with Christian pretending his emotions and feelings that were real and telling to the rest of resort thought there would be constant supervision. Even with the shared dreams, which certainly confused Carolyn about her feelings for Christian but never they less where they entertaining and stimulating to read. As well as the romps that followed and her trying best to understand. Always enjoy novels that try to bring their own twist to vampires and this one is no exception with the introduction of nanos which cause the immortality and the evolution of the blood drinking and how mating works. Even very fond of the idea that no matter your age when you are turned the nanos restore your body it it’s perk which is usually somewhere in your twenties. Adore that Carolyn once running away being dragged back, running away again was very curious with questions because the shared pleasure took over. Still want to know more about this idea of the gloves and the feather, kinky. All the while thinking Bethany was a terrible friend which turned out to be the twist that was needed in the end since some things weren’t adding up during the novel. Stupid friends being deceived by the ex is something that happens and chances are being told everything wont stop her from trying to still be with him. It all made sense why Bethany would take her to a place with only honeymooners and tell her to stay away from Christian. Good thing for Genie even while busy and running around with her head cut off was supportive of Carolyn having fun even with a 500 year old vamp..er immortal in the body of a man in his twenties. I wouldn’t complain much either.
Overall it was a good read and will certainly be picking up the rest of the series to read in the future. It was funny, passionate, interesting and another great vampire read with it’s own set of rules. At this point it looks like I better get reading since I’m very much behind and well might be a Argeneau girl by the end of it. And if anything else make you book a trip to St. Lucia to find and vampire of your own, clearly I’ve been looking in all the wrong dark and gloomy places.
Plus should have guess with a name like Christian that he was Italian, that’s a different story. So pick it up and discover these…immortals, knew I would get it correct by the end. Wait then should it be ‘Under an Immortal Moon’?
Eric and Bill continue their soon expiring search for Russell while using Sookie as bait and her talents despite Alcide’s reservations. Tara comes into her role as a vampire with the new understanding that she can’t be hurt anymore. While being forced to take a position at Fangtasia to help Pam run the bar. Terry and Patrick find their friend and begin to understand what happened and that something might be after them. Jason trying to understand what his cousin was trying to tell him about his parents and their death. As well as Jason and Andy are called in to investigate the murder of Sam’s shifter friends.
The oh so hot continuing scene of Sookie and Alcide making out and going to get it on
Lafayette trying to understand what is going on with him after feeling bad about Sookie’s accident
Sookie’s little mental breakdown while talking to Bill, Eric and Alcide about Russell
Now introducing Tara, vampire hotness – Pam’s wardrobe, which was right since didn’t want drag
Finding out that someone in the Authority is responsible for Russell’s release
Tara and Jessica’s talk about being a vampire and makers while becoming friends
Molly the Authority Tech – so funny and oddly cool even announcing the countdown of the iStakes
Sookie bring horror movie logic into where Russell is hiding
Tara resisting Hoyt’s ‘oh please bite me now’ flirting – for the moment
Roman’s speech at the end – long winded but still relevant
Sookie getting sick on Alide but further proof not to drink and make out
The disturbing dream that Jason had about his parents
More awkward Andy nakedness – must suppress with hot Eric hotness; much better
Salome setting up for the demise of Eric and Bill at dawn
Roman blah, blah, blah about Lilith – still thinks there are mix messages in the Authority
Having to figure out what this ifritis when still trying to understand the Authority
Sam having to deal with the death of two of his shifter friends without Luna – does she know yet?
Still not impressed with Hoyt’s ‘goth’ look - wiki-how and youtube tutorials are to blame
The heads with the sewn up mouths that appear – well at lease got somewhat of a Jesus return
The gang that not only shot Sam and Luna but videotaped it – sick and wrong! glad Emma got away
